Thanks again to Lunar for hosting me for a few days. ^_^ There was much gaming, playing with cats, and snickering during the Holiday Pops. And there was much Flidget, of course. (Thanke for the presents, Flidge ^_^ I need to write you fic. And send you a massive box full of erasers and burned anime. Just say when!)
That said, I really need to change my icon to something ninja-esque. I kind of went a whole semester without posting. Admittedly, there was reason, but I could have regailed you with the long ballad of the Battle of Water at UConn, or perhaps the joys of the shaggy-headed liberal democrat Organic Chem professor, and the woes of the monotone physics woman. I could have mentioned that I told karate where to stick it, and have taken up polo after being shut out of ordinary riding lessons. I might have related a tale or too about SCA fencing, and the mini-Renfest that resulted in my procuring a certification. I could tell you how my dog endeavours to make me the perfect Battousai cosplayer (except, you know, we don't think it'll scar). I'm not going to even touch the realm that is Macy's, and how much I hate the retail world and managers who just don't give a damn. Instead, I lurk with the best of them!
What /does/ drive me to update? . . . The fact that my crap luck with computers has struck again. I have two laptops at home, one being the older Cricket who has the nonfunctional ethernet cards, and the newer Cicero who suffered a tragic accident early in life and now only has 2/3 of his monitor functioning (incidentally, the monitor is the most expensive part of the laptop to replace, and since it was a very pathetic accident, I've been informed I get to replace it myself). Both should have functional wireless internet access. Operative word, however, is should. Neither one works now, and while it drives me insane, no one here has the know-how or motivation to fix it. The one go-around is to plug the computer directly into the router via ethernet-cord; which means I type to you now from my poor abused Cicero, sitting in my father's den.
Needless to say, I'm not going to be on very much until I go back to school on Jan 16th. Presumably some of that time I'll be working long hours, but really, I wouldn't hold my breath at this point. (I'm curious as to what my employment status is at present. No, you don't really want to know the details.)
I'm assuming no one has any particularily pressing need to contact me, but Flidge knows how if necessary. I'll try and check back every other day or so. ^^; Until then, I go!
