I'm still here, in case anyone was wondering. I was swallowed by the abyss that is vacation- namely, boredom and laziness, which are mutually inclusive. This, however, will all end tomorrow: I'm heading back over to UConn on Monday.

Classes start Tuesday- this semester doesn't seem so bad on paper: Modern Western Lit MWF mornings, Calculus II MWF at lunch time, and General Chem MW afternoons; then Honors History 101 T Th mornings, "Topics in Biology" discussion late Tuesday afternoon, and a great big four hour Chem lab on Thursday all afternoon. The teachers all come recommended and I should have plenty of time to get everywhere I need to. The only aggravating thing is that my morning classes are on the other side of the campus- and the Bio discussion, which is on the same day as my riding lesson right across from the barn in the boonies, is several hours /after/ said lesson. I'll figure it out, though. What /will/ be painful is my feet after a month of no karate. . . bring on the blisters.

This isn't really a cause for concern, though- with school comes reliable high speed networks that provide access to all sorts of goodies, like anime and music at one's fingertips. The three hour wait for a twenty minute episode to download at home is. . . slightly less than encouraging. I have been stocking up on Full Metal Alchemist and HunterxHunter when DC++ decides to cooperate with me, to my occasional fangirlish glee and plentiful frustration.

Thanks to such handy inspiration, it looks like I'm going to end up writing a HxH fic after all- something like the Four Calling Birds fic, expanded manifold. I'm going to attempt some drabbles to get all of the crucial characters in my head. Flidge will be mightily disturbed to know that Hisoka is putting in an appearance in a rather odd way. . . But it should all turn up sooner or later.
