There is a formula. . .
Mar. 21st, 2004 12:30 amthat my life seems to follow. Exams = Stress = Sickness!
So before spring break, we had midterms. That illicited my second bout of bronchitis. After spring break, I had the other half of midterms. This time, I gots me a UTI. (Yes, urinary tract infection. Painful, distressingly embarassing, and really uncomfortable all the same time. Without any of the promiscous behavior usually associated with it. There is no justice!) And now, I think the infection has moved on from tormenting by lower bits by climbing up into my kidneys. Damnit, bacteria, I kinda need those!
*sigh* I swear I won't only update to gripe. But it seems like the only developments I actually feel are blogworthy are the bad ones. Other than the sick bits, life has been moving on. Classes kind of suck with the stress level, I'm missing a karate tournament in Montreal this weekend since my Chem exam was late Friday afternoon, fencing has also been missed from midterms and sickness, and my muses might eventually come back to me.
I have yet to make an appointment with my advisor to discuss how masochistic I'll be next semester, but as of now, my tentative schedule looks deliciously painful: Ecology W (writing intensive), Statistics, Physics, and Organic Chem. That's six hours of lab, four hours of discussion, and seven some hours of lecture per week. Unfortunately, there's a bit of overlap, so either I'll resolve it, or have to take organic chem some other time. What a shame, of course.
Right now I'm highly amused that a character of mine is turning up in Ann and Flidge's
. . . Maybe I can distract them with something else, before I remind myself I have a project I ought to be researching for and a paper that should have been written a week or more ago. And homework.
Who was it that started the myth that college students have lots of free time, anyways?

Date: 2004-03-22 01:06 pm (UTC)And nah, I'm not ten years ahead or anything. I only started 2001. I've only got 3 years on you! ^_^ I'm with Go Kan Ryu Karate International (GKR). We don't actually have a webpage yet, but it's in the works... (and has been for about, oh, two years...) In any case, I've been slowed down heaps by injuries, so you'll catch up yet. :P
Aww, you get to ride on the pretty horsies! I used to take riding in junior school, but had to quit. I have a habit of doing too much, shall we say. ^_^; I'd like to take it up again one day, though. Would be fun.
