I cropped it from a splash page of the manga Amatsuki - it's a chibi version of a tengu (Utsubushi-san) that bears a strong resemblance to a Squishable. :D It is the precise intersection of cute and derp that I appreciate, so there it has stayed for a . . . a long while now.

I don't think anything's been decided about where people are going next (although everyone seems to be coming back to DW to say hello) & it could well be that everything will blow over in tumblr-land and status quo will resume (I mean, how many times did things go to shit over at LJ before people started actually shifting off...?)

I think it's because this feels SO much like Strikethrough that it just seems like it's better to just get in order. Especially with the continuous reports that like...all the coding is being done on the fly by 2 people who haven't managed to leave yet. It feels like they're going to crash big time, rather than limp along like LJ or FF.net.

oh it certainly feels that way to me! & I don't want to generalise with broad strokes but I think for a lot of the younger people on tumblr this is their first strike and that could well not be enough for a lot of them if they're not directly affected. *shrug*
